Amistad is an elderly and disabled day service facility dedicated to the physical and emotional needs of our clients. There are two locations - San Luis and La Jara. Each location provides a variety of activities to ensure our clients' well-being. Our team is committed to providing high-quality care and personalized attention to each of our clients, ensuring they feel valued and supported. We strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where our clients can socialize, engage in meaningful activities, and maintain their independence for as long as possible.

Daily activities include:

• Arts and crafts

• Bingo (with prizes)

• Light exercise

• Pool table

• Friday movies

• Card games

• Computer access with Wi-Fi

• Nutritional meals and snacks

Transportation is provided to visit both facilities and for all excursions.

​

We provide monthly transportation and a supervised visit to Walmart. 

​

During the summer, there are two guaranteed trips per month to destinations such as Red River; La Veta; Cuchara; and Chama, New Mexico.

Eligibility

To participate in our program, individuals must be enrolled in long-term Medicaid.
